Pasta with Pesto Sauce

Here is a delicious pesto pasta recipe:
Materials:
- 300 grams of pasta (spaghetti, fettucine or any type of pasta you prefer)
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/4 cup pine nuts or walnuts
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil (more can be added if desired)
- Salt and pepper
How to make:
1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water for the time indicated on the package until al dente. Once cooked, drain and set aside. You may want to save the cooking water as you can use it to thin out the pesto.
2. In a blender or food processor, add basil leaves, garlic, pine nuts or walnuts, grated parmesan cheese and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Blend ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth. If sauce is too thick, add a little more olive oil or pasta water.
4. Place the cooked pasta in a bowl and pour the pesto sauce over it. Mix well so that the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
5. Before serving, sprinkle some more grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves on top.
You can serve this delicious pesto pasta recipe with cherry tomatoes or sliced grilled chicken if you wish. Bon appetit!
