Materials:
- 1/4 cup flaxseed (fresh or ground)
- 4 glasses of water
- Optional sweeteners (e.g. honey, maple syrup or vanilla extract)
How to make:
1. Wash the flaxseed in a strainer and then place it in a pitcher.
2. Add 4 cups of water and mix well.
3. Let the mixture sit for at least 15-20 minutes. This will help the flax seeds turn into milk.
4. Beat the mixture well with a blender or mixer, you may need to beat for at least 1-2 minutes.
5. Strain the mixture through a strainer or cheese cloth. The strained liquid will be flaxseed milk.
6. You can add sweeteners if desired. You can choose natural sweeteners such as honey, maple syrup or vanilla extract.
7. Store the flaxseed milk you prepared in the refrigerator. Consume it within a few days for freshness and best taste.
